谷歌測試電視搜索服務
據“華爾街日報”報道，網路鉅子“谷歌”（Google）正透過美國衛星電視業者DishNetwork公司測試一種新的電視節目搜尋服務。該報引述“熟悉這件事的人士”說，該服務是透過谷歌的Android作業系統在電視的機上盒中運轉。
這項服務據稱可以讓使用者從Dish衛星電視中搜尋節目內容，同時也可以提供網路影音頻道例如YouTube搜尋，也可以客製化一系列節目。目前全美有1400萬名Dish衛星電視訂戶。
該報說，使用者不是用遙控器搜尋，而是在鍵盤上輸入關鍵字。
該報指出，谷歌希望讓電視搜尋服務連結上它的電視廣告業務Google TV Ads。這樣一來，谷歌即可根據其收視和電視搜尋紀錄，對個別客戶提供目標廣告。
報道說，這項測試從去年開始，只限於一小群谷歌員工及其家人。報導也說，測試可能“隨時會停止”。
谷歌目前主要收益大部分來自網路廣告。
去年谷歌取消另外兩項廣告計畫，包括平面廣告計畫（Print Ads Program）與其廣播廣告服務。

微軟推出跨平臺遊戲：預示未來三大平臺整合
（新浪科技編譯報道）微軟技術策略高級副總裁埃裏克‧魯德(Eric Rudder)在TechEd中東會議上展示了一款在Visual Studio中開發的多平臺遊戲，可以同步運行於電腦、手機、遊戲機，其90%的代碼是共享的。
這款遊戲可以通過鍵盤在Windows電腦中玩，也可以通過加速計和觸控設備在Windows Phone 7手機中操作，或通過Xbox手柄在Xbox 360遊戲機中運行。
這款遊戲之所以吸引業界關注，並不僅僅是因為其是跨平臺開發的，也在於遊戲本身的特性。不管玩家開始使用的是哪個平臺，換個平臺照樣可以同步繼續玩遊戲，不會影響遊戲進程。
魯德使用了一部由華碩制造的Windows Phone 7原型手機展示這款遊戲。他還強調，這款遊戲的意義在於預示了電腦、手機和遊戲機三大平臺的未來整合之路，至少對休閒遊戲來說是這樣。
